How can I learn the Alexander Technique?

The Alexander Technique can only be taught by teachers who qualify by completing a three-year certified training course. One-to-one lessons provide the best opportunity for your individual needs to be addressed.

Through explanation and the teacher's guiding touch, you will learn to rediscover natural balance and poise, starting by working with simple movements, such as sitting and bending, which are basic to everyday activity.

You'll be asked to wear loose-fitting, comfortable clothes and to remove your shoes. An introductory lesson lasts one hour. Follow-up lessons last 40 minutes.

To help you learn how to apply the Technique to situations in your everyday life, a series of lessons is recommended.
